I'm also more the sub fan. I like the original voice casts, fits better than a dubbed one. The english subs are also more welcomed, because they help me to understand English better!

I voted sub! Cause the majority of anime i like are better in sub. One anime that I like better in dub is dragon ball z. Goku's voice is so squeaky in the subbed version!!

I'd like to throw a third hat into the ring if I may: Manga > Sub > Dub Before I get stoned to death (or flamed) I have to say it's the same with most book to movie situations. Details not in the book are left out of the movie, or things in the manga aren't in the anime. At the same time there are those Anime that surpass the manga they are based on, or anime that do so well they inspire a manga that doesn't do as well (FLCL). That aside Subs still wins over Dub mainly because I enjoy the trans notes, and Dubs will avoid explaining things. The voices used in Dubs often don't match up with the character, or the pacing of speech sounds awkward. Bleach has a good example; "zanpakutÅ" while 3 syllables will be spread out so each part is emphasized "Zan-pak-to"

lol of course are mango better than animu but its not part of this discussion i especially hate in dubs how they change names to fit their language.... like "sasuke" (Saske) becomes Sasuuke well at least thats the case for german dubs... and also the fact that they ruin the introductions with changing the order of the name... like Kuchiki Byakuya becomes Byakuya Kuchiki.... just sounds lame... =_=

You know that's a good point about the names, never really thought about it. Another thing I hate about dubs; change of theme/ending songs. This can be a blessing and a curse sometimes. A few of the intros are good others are bad, but Dubs rarely use the original. Would dubbing the song be more difficult than dubbing the rest of the show?

regarding the OP/ED themes. Lately companies have been keeping the original themes, and just subbing them.

I much prefer subs. When they dub they sometimes change the meaning of what they are saying. And some of the voices they choose really don't fit the character as I see them.
