KRename Tutorial

this is a small tutorial for people like me who like to organize folders and such,
with this tool u can easily rename a lot of files at the same time.
thats pretty convenient if u have for example a manga volume thats not in order.

Download KRename

there is no installation needed, just exract the folder wherever u want to have the prog, after starting the KRename.exe u get the following pic...

u can browse ur files on the left and then mark all the files u want to rename like pictured, without marking anything u automatically change all listed files, u can also use drag and drop.
if u want to rename folders u can choose what files to include in the top right corner... (archive is default and for almost all files, except folders)

ill just demonstrate the two abbilitys most usefull in my oppinion,

1st) u can do almost anything with the macro ability.

for example, u can replace the <n> for name with any text and see the output files on the right side "new file name".

to number the pics u can just press the "counter" button and set the needed parameter on the right...

Important!! dont forget to use the "Ext" button in the end to add the file extention, or ull get unknown documents =_=

execute with "Rename" button in the toolbar and ur done ^^

2nd) if u dont need a new counter but want to rename the first part u can just use "replace with".

well no need to explain the "replace with" function its kinda self explaining so just do as pictured Tongue

if u think u know a better prog or know more about the other abillitys of this program, please feel free to criticize or add somethin to my tutorial. ^^
