I was going through my closet of books and happened upon a series I'd all but forgotten; Beet Vandel Buster. The fact I liked the series is proven by the fact I have all 12 volumes, and they were stacked together rather than my usual mess. So what happened? Why did this series stop? It did spawn an anime which even got a sequel (not as good honestly), so can't be that it wasn't popular. I recall someone mentioning the creator got sick. But never looked into it more due to various other books popping out around then. Rereading it, I have to say I'd love to see more of it. The part were it left off was going to be a large fight sequence, and a lot of questions left unanswered. Here's hoping, but I won't hold my breath.

Really don't remember the first one that well, but I'm sure it didn't follow the manga completely since it wasn't done yet. I do recall the second season being utter crap. It seemed to focus on this one whiny little boy, that Beet befriended.
